Finally some Great Grey Owls came out from the forest to hunt out in open during the daylight, this time in Kuusamo. So it might be that in March there will be good photo-opportunities with Great Grey Owls in Finland again. 

Other species possible to photograph in March in Kuusamo area are e.g. Siberian Jay, Siberian Tit, Dipper, Waxwing, Pygmy Owl, Golden Eagle and White-tailed Eagle.

We will arrange some workshops in March for photographers in Kuusamo. We will send out newsflash with workshop dates to our newsletter subscribers shortly.

Black Grouse will start their lekking usually around mid March in Oulu area. We have a workshop for "Black Grouse lekking in snow"  21.- 26.3.2010.
